Unmistakable Sicilian red, with a light cherry red color, aromas of tender red fruits and pomegranate; in the mouth intense freshness balanced with the softness and elegance of the tannins. A balance to be appreciated young.

1607 is the year in which the city of Vittoria was founded: Princess Colonna, asked Felipe III of Spain, the possibility of living in the estate of Vittoria: the city was then founded ... The reason is interesting, due to a costly expense family marriage, the inhabited estate could help "fix" the finances.

About this company
Avide Vigneti & Cantine, was born, more than a century ago, from the family's secondary activity to cultivate grapes and olives. In 1970 the professional activity of the winery was started, processing its own grapes. Many projects and many types of wines - Sparkling, Red, and White - have led in the past decades to obtain recognition all over the world. We are in the south-east part of Sicily and here we cultivate our grapes with passion. Frappato (also Metodo Classico), Nero d'Avola, Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Insolia and Grillo are our main productions. We also have a small selection of Tonda Iblea olives with which we produce our precious Barocco Ibleo Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
